Il modulo DCS: F-16 Viper per DCS World e' stato rilasciato in Early Access pochi giorni fa'. In conteporanea e' stato pubblicato su Youtube il trailer di lancio ufficiale:

DCS F-15C: 16-2 Red Flag Campaign - Recensione

Il Red Flag e' una annuale grande esercitazione di guerra aerea alla quale partecipano le aeronautiche militari dei paesi NATO. Questo DLC-campagna per DCS World ci permetterà di prendervi parte sfrecciando a bordo del nostro F-15C su i cieli del deserto del Nevada e sulla città di Las Vegas.

DCS F-15C: The Georgian War Campaig - Recensione

Alle volte per fare la differenza basta avere le persone giuste nel posto giusto al momento giusto. Nel caso di "DCS F-15C: The Georgian War Campaign" le "persone giuste" sono i piloti di un piccolo distaccamento di F-15C che dovranno affrontare l'intera aviazione russa.

Il Reveal Trailer di DCS: F-16C Viper!

Che il modulo DCS: F-16C Viper per DCS World e' in sviluppo lo si sa già da qualche tempo, ma il Reveal Trailer e' arrivato solo poche ore fa:

Assieme a quello relativo all'F/A-18C Hornet, il modulo dell' F-16C mi interessa parecchio, se la mia rinnovata passione per la simulazione di volo si manterrà costante come spero di sicuro lo acquisterò, sebbene non day one visto che anche in questo caso sarà rilasciato ancora con diverse features in stato di sviluppo.

Il Trailer di Lancio di ArmA 3: Contact

Giusto con un paio di giorni di ritardo ecco a voi il trailer di lancio di ArmA 3: Contact, la nuova espansione per ArmA3!

In Arma 3 sbarcano gli Alieni!

La notizia di una nuova espansione per Arma 3 circolava già da un paio di giorni sotto forma di teasers allusivi ma poche ore fa e' arrivato l'annuncio ufficiale: in Arma 3: Contact avremo a che fare con gli Alieni!

L'espansione aggiungerà una nuova campagna, chiamata "First Contact", una nuova mappa, 2 nuove fazioni, nuove armi, veicoli (tra cui un ROV) ed equipaggiamento vario. Inoltre, come da tradizione, sarà rilasciato un pacchetto di contenuti extra per il gioco base che sarà accessibile a tutti i possessori del gioco base senza la necessità di acquistare la nuova espansione.

Salvo ritardi, Arma 3: Contact arriverà su i nostri PC il 25 di Luglio prossimo.

Il trailer di lancio di Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Beast of Winter

Beast of Winter, il primo dei 3 DLC previsti per Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire e' in dirittura di arrivo e Obsidian ha rilasciato un trailer di lancio:

Mancano ancora alcuni giorni al lancio di Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, ma Obsidian ha già rivelato alcuni dettagli e la roadmap di rilascio dei 3 DLC previsti per il gioco:

• Beast of Winter: Luglio:2018
• Seeker - Slayer - Survivor: Settembre 2018
• The Forgotten Sanctum: Novembre 2018.

Credo Proprio che prenderò la Obsidian Edition (che include anche il Season Pass) e a novembre mi butterò immediatamente sul gioco.

Arma 3: Tanks.

La data di uscita del quarto ed ultimo contenuto del DLC Bundle 2 per Arma 3, il grandioso FPS tattico di Bohemia Interactive e' stata finalmente annunciata: Arma 3 Tanks arriverà su i nostri PC l' 11 Aprile prossimo.

Come annunciato da tempo, questo nuovo pacchetto si focalizza su gli scontri tra mezzi corazzati e sostanzialmente offre le seguenti novità:

• T-140 Angara - The T-140 Angara is a Main Battle Tank (MBT) of Russian design and is used by the CSAT faction. This vehicle is built to deliver maximum destruction, while providing the best kind of protection to its crew. The Angara's primary weapon is a new 125 mm cannon, which can fire three different kinds of ammunition, and has a longer effective range than the cannons on most Western tanks. Its secondary weapons are a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun and a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun. Aside from the regular T-140, the Angara also comes in the T-140K 'Commander' variant, which replaces the heavy machine gun for a 30 mm autocannon, and is equipped with sensors to share target data via the Data Link with other units.
• AWC Nyx - The Nyx Armored Weapons Carrier (AWC) is of German engineering descent, but was licensed and modified by the AAF faction. Its smaller size makes it relatively fast and mobile, and even allows for it to be slingloaded by the CH-49 Mohawk helicopter. The Nyx comes in four variants: Anti-Tank, Anti-Air, Recon, and the Autocannon variant. All of these variants wear an armor jacket that is able to withstand 7.62 ammunition, but each vehicle variant carries different types of weapons or equipment to serve specific needs on the battlefield. Just like the other new vehicles in this DLC, the Nyx is available in multiple liveries.
• Rhino MGS - The Rhino is a wheeled Armored Fighting Vehicle (AFV) that is purpose-built to fight against tanks. For this reason, it's also referred to as a 'Tank Destroyer'. The Rhino MGS has a 120 mm cannon, which can fire all kinds of standard rounds, but also the new MARUK ATGM. It has a secondary weapon in the form of a coaxial .338 magnum machine gun. The Rhino also comes in the UP variant. This variant features an additional remote 12.7 mm heavy machine gun turret, and improved protection in the form of cage and ERA armor. It makes the UP more suitable for Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT), but does add weight and limits options for transport. Both variants of the Rhino are connected to the Data Link, which enables them to lock onto targets picked up or painted by friendly armed forces.
• "Altis Requiem" Mini-Campaign - Over the course of three singleplayer scenarios, you assume the role of an AAF tank commander, and you get to experience the opposite perspective of the NATO offensive featured in Arma 3's vanilla "The East Wind" campaign. Here, you're placed in command of the new AWC Nyx in the fight against the FIA. Later you're also presented with the opportunity to operate the new T-140 Angara Main Battle Tank. This short mini-campaign leads to different possible endings based on your playstyle and performance.
• Showcase Tank Destroyers - In this singleplayer Showcase scenario, you play as a NATO crewman on board the new Rhino MGS UP. This Tank Destroyer has similar firepower to a Main Battle Tank, but is much more vulnerable in terms of armor protection. As such, you will need to make good use of the Rhino's speed and maneuverability to complete your objectives.

Ovviamente il DLC sara' accompaganto da un corposo aggiornamento della piattaforma, che sara' reso disponibile per tutti gratuitamente. Chi fosse interessato al change-log completo puo' trovarlo qui nella pagina dell'annuncio del DLC.

Arma 3: Tac-Ops Mission Pack

Bohemia Interactive ha finalmente annunciato ufficialmente i contenuti di Tac-Ops, il terzo DLC che compone il DLC Bundle 2 per il suo Arma 3: Si tratta di un pacchetto che aggiunge 3 missioni Single Player e diversi altri contenuti. Il dettaglio del pacchetto, preso "verbatim" dal sito di Arma 3, e' il seguente:

• 3 Singleplayer Operations – Designed for the experienced Arma player, this Mission Pack features three challenging military operations:
• Beyond Hope - Nine years prior to the "East Wind" conflict, civil war rages through the Republic of Altis and Stratis.
• Stepping Stone - NATO reinforcements responding to the "East Wind" crisis must first secure the strategic island of Malden.
• Steel Pegasus - During the invasion of Altis, NATO forces stage a daring air assault to open a second front.
• Authentic Warfare – Experience what true military combat is like with missions that favor intelligence, caution, and patience above all else. Fight alongside multiple armed forces, and lead your unit to victory, alive.
• Evolving Battlefield – Discover how your conduct and decisions on the battlefield can affect the operation by completing, failing, or ignoring (optional) objectives.
• Replayability – Replay a selection of missions from a different unit’s perspective to gain a greater understanding of the operation. Try out various tactics and figure out how to achieve your objectives in different ways.
• After Action Report (AAR) Videos – Develop your understanding of military tactics and combat with practical mission-specific insights from one of our military consultants.
• And More – Listen to newly composed music tracks, unlock additional Steam Achievements, and take advantage of new scripted systems to help create advanced custom Arma 3 scenarios.

Arma 3: Tac-Ops sarà reso disponibile il 30 Novembre prossimo a poco meno di 5 euro, prezzo tutto sommato proporzionato a quello che offre.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3: Trailer del DLC "Sabotaggio"

Non ricordo se ne avevo parlato in precedenza, in tutti i casi, poco fa il download di un aggiornamento da 5GB per Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 mi ha annunciato l'uscita del DLC Sabotaggio, di cui potete vedere il trailer qui sotto:

Si tratta di una nuova mini campagna single player che sarà gratuita per tutti i possessori del Season Pass del gioco. Per i dettagli in merito vi rimando alla pagina del DLC sul sito ufficiale.

Arma 3: Laws of War

E' stato finalmente annunciato il titolo del secondo DLC incluso nel pacchetto DLC Bundle 2 di Arma 3: in Arma 3: Laws of War andremo a considerare la guerra dal punto di vista del disastro umanitario.

Il nuovo pacchetto introdurrà una nuova fazione: l'IDAP (International Development & Aid Project), una ONG che si occupa di soccorrere le popolazioni afflitte da disastri umanitari e ci metterà di fronte ad una nuova mini-campagna, chiamata Remnants of War in cui vestiremo i panni di uno specialista artificiere dell' IDAP alle prese con il duro compito di identificare ed eliminare le mine rimaste sul campo dopo la guerra tra le forze NATO e CSAT sulle isole di Altris e Stratis (che, per chi non lo ricordasse, sono appunto lo scenario di guerra della campagna base di Arma 3).

Il DLC aggiungerà un nuovo tipo di veicolo, il Van, e due nuovi tipi di drone: Utilità e Identificazione di Mine, così come nuovo equipaggiamento ed uniformi "a tema".

Come di consueto, il DLC arriverà assieme ad un aggiornamento della piattaforma di gioco i cui contenuti saranno resi disponibili gratuitamente a tutti i possessori del gioco base. Il change-log non e' lunghissimo ma molto interessante:

The Arma 3 Laws of War DLC is supported by a major Arma 3 platform update, featuring new content and feature extensions. The platform update is free for all owners of Arma 3.

Supporting Feature Extensions

• Cluster Strikes & UXO - Refined cluster strikes provide a highly destructive form of warfare, while the newly introduced simulation of Unexploded Ordnance means that some cluster bomblets might not explode upon impact.
• Mines - Several improvements to the identifying and clearing of mines (and other explosives) make for a more manual process, with a greater emphasis on the Mine Detector tool.
• Leaflets - You can now drop informational pamphlets from the sky using the new Utility Drone, which can then be picked up and read by people on the ground. You can also apply your own leaflet designs to your own custom scenarios.
• LOAC - New additions to the Field Manual cover the Laws of Armed Conflict, while small tweaks to the Arma 3 sandbox also improve the in-game representation of LOAC.

Supporting Content

• Showcases IDAP & Laws of War - Two new individual scenarios offer an introduction to the DLC's new faction and topic. In Showcase IDAP, you visit one of the organization's open days on Altis. while in Showcase Laws of War you take part in an IDAP training course.
• Additional IDAP Content - In support of their operations, IDAP has access to emergency and medical supplies, such as cardboard boxes, food sacks, water bottle packages, blankets, stretchers, IV bags, body bags, and more.
• Cluster Bombs - Deploy three new faction-specific cluster munitions from aircraft, but also deal with unexploded ordnance that may be left behind afterwards.
• Decorative Objects - On top of IDAP-specific props, several new decorative objects are available, including shelter tents, separate floor canvases, new furniture, an air-conditioning unit, and plastic net fences.
• Official Soundtrack - Listen to new music tracks composed specifically for this DLC.
• Steam Achievements - Unlock a set of extra Steam Achievements related to the new content.

Per chi non possedesse il DLC Bundle 2, il pacchetto e' già prenotabile su Steam al prezzo di 9 euro (con sconto di preordine del 10%) e, salvo ritardi, sarà disponibile dal 12 Settembre 2017.

Arma 3: Jets - Il Trailer di Lancio

Il fatidico giorno dell'uscita di Arma 3: Jets e' finalmente arrivato e con mia somma gioia il client Steam mi ha scaricato in automatico i 5GB del pacchetto (che includono anche l'aggiornamento v1.7). Per festeggiare l'uscita del DLC, Bohemia Interactive ha rilasciato il Trailer che potete vedere qui sotto:

Vedrò di darci una occhiata al più presto, ovviamente con X-56 Rhino e TrackIR...

Sniper Elite III - Save Churchill DLC 1 - 3

Visto che l'ho giocato e finito credo valga la pena di scrivere una mini recensione per questo DLC in 3 parti di Sniper Elite III, il simulatore di cecchino di Rebellion. 

In questa storia in 3 parti, il nostro Karl Fairburne, il super cecchino americano agente dell'OSS
si troverà a dover cercare di sventare i piani dei tedeschi per assassinare Winston Churchill mentre si trova in viaggio per la conferenza di Casablanca in Marocco.

Ognio DLC contiene una singola missione in un unica mappa, il primo "In Shadows" è ambientato nella versione notturna della mappa già vista nella missione Siwa Oasis della campagna base, quindi in pratica si tratta di una mappa riciclata.

I DLC di fatto si limitano ad aggiungere le sole missioni senza variare di un millimetro gli altri contenuti: Le meccaniche del gioco infatti sono le stesse medesime viste nel gioco base, così come i gadget e l'equipaggiamento che possiamo dare al nostro cecchino.

Giocarle è indubbiamente divertente (esattamente come lo è il gioco base), ma il rapporto qualità prezzo è a mio avviso eccessivo (per non dire "scandaloso"), considerando che ciascuna missione viene venduta ad oggi a 7 euro scarse.
